Finally available on vinyl! Amazing third album from Ohio emcee Illogic after the near classic 'Got Lyrics' and his mighty debut 'Unforeseen Shadows'. Again produced by the man Blueprint, veering towards lyrical aspects touched upon by men such as Eyedea, Sage Francis and even Eminem (only when he's on top form). The production is next level, multi dimensional, different, funky and abstract without feeling forced. Guests include Aesop Rock, Vast Aire and Slug. Check the sick offbeat gem 'Hollow Shell (Cash Clutch)' with the hype rhymes, slippery beats and dope bass samples - then check the sax solo - strictly off the heezy. Always personal, always deep, this is one of 2004's finest hip hop albums so far. Highly recommended. |
