Showtyme marks the highly anticipated return of one of underground hip hop's most seminal figures - Abstract Rude. He made a name for himself with the Project Blowed and Haiku d'Etat projects, as well as a founding member of Abstract Tribe Unique and long-time collaborator with the renowned Freestyle Fellowship. Ab's solo career has run the gamut of label affiliations, from being completely independent to Capitol's Grand Royal (Beastie Boys). In 2001, Ab laid deep roots under the Battle Axe Records banner with the critically acclaimed P.A.I.N.T. Taking his music to a higher crescendo, Showtyme picks up where P.A.I.N.T. left off - a cutting edge blend of hip hop soul woven with Ab's rhyme mastery.
