Aceyalone has been at the forefront of the indie scene on the west coast for a decade plus fronting the legendary Freestyle Fellowship. You'll remember his 2003 release, "Love and Hate", where RJD2 threw down beats for three of the stronger tracks on the album. Obviously releasing together, they had some good chemistry going, RJD2 and Aceyalone now team together for a collaborative full length entitled "Magnificent City". Aceyalone just has that literacy to all his rhymes and in a weird way blends perfectly with RJD2's soulful yet subtle style of production. A damn nice mix of west coast lyrics and east coast beats! |
