the first solo album of Rhymefest finally drops after an uncountable amounts of promo twelves for J Records. Kanye West companion and co-writer of Jesus Walks is mouthly armed with talent and skills, only question is, if production is tight enough to let him compete with other big time sellers...they got the right men into the boat: Just Blaze, Kanye West, No ID, Mark Ronsons...but if this will do it?
If you don't mind having a good production with alot of fond beats that won't fit your club set, than this is pretty decent album. Mark Ronson stands out as having the mighty hand to produce them funky pop-appeal pieces that travel along the line of genius and still be Hip-Hop suitable. No ID finally was able to shine again (which is a good thing, coz his beats remain strong) and Kanye couldn't be left out.
very cool debut album! |
