Babygrande Records has signed his first West Coast artist, Custom Made. The five MC’s, who’ve drawn comparisons to the likes of Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep, have been creating a buzz in the streets of LA for a while, having moved over 100,000 mixtapes on the strength of the music and their own street savvy. Earlier this year, when LA's DJ Warrior included one of Custom Made's tracks on his Cali Untouchable Ice Cube Mixtape, Custom Made was catapulted to national notoriety.
"Custom Made has a sound and feel that you dont expect to hear and see coming out of LA. To me their music is a fusion of all aspects of LA hip-hop culture presented in an entirely new manner and that originality and realness is what makes everyone from bangers to battlers feel their music. All of them are either 19 or 20 years old so they truly represent a new generation of hip-hop," says Chuck Wilson.
