The legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff needs no introduction. He’s produced tracks from numerous artists, from Eminem to Jill Scott. In addition to a successful TV career (which seen him act alongside former partner in crime Will Smith in ‘Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’) he has sold over 10 million records worldwide and was the first rap producer to win a Grammy. One of the very few legendary producers who’s music is still relevant, he now presents the follow up to 2001’s hugely successful album ‘The Magnificent’ with the brand new, eagerly anticipated album ‘The Return Of The Magnificent’ out on BBE / Rapster on 7th May. The iconic first album featured guest vocalists such as Jill Scott, Shaun Stockman from Boyz II Men, Freddie Foxxx, J-Live & ?uestlove from The Roots. The LP instantly became a modern soul classic. On ‘The Return Of The Magnificent’, Jeff’s hooked up with an array of artists such as Method Man (Wu Tang Clan), Rhymefest (Kanye West’s prodigy), Big Daddy Kane, CL Smooth, Raheem DeVaughn, Pos of De La Soul and Jean Grae. This album already promises to be one of 2007’s highlights, as Jeff himself says: “This is turning out to be the best record I have ever done.” The album is on par with the flavour of modern hip-hop, but will also serve fans that appreciate real hip-hop, the way it was always meant to be. He is credited with making the transformer scratch famous resulting in making Jeff an eternal icon in his genre.
