The words “Softer Diagram” reflect the method in which London based beat-maker 2tall (Jim Coles) built his latest tour de force. The “softness” is represented in the innocence and simplicity of the beats which embody arrangements constructed like sacred geometry, hence the “diagram”.
To quote a classic phrase, “This is a journey into sound." This 12 track journey of synth, drumscapes and polyrhythms begins with contemplation of peace in the form of “A Word". Electro bangers like “Grazing On Empty", “The Most High” featuring Kashmere and “Harbour Lights” follow, injecting a pulse aimed at the futuristic dance floor.
Over the two years of assembly, like a true beat prophet, 2tall managed to illustrate our times using modern technology and deep insight. This is realized in “Raise Ya Head”, “Distant Shadows”, ”Ritual”, “Song for Simon Cowell”, “Trains” with E. Saint, “Garden Child”, and “Winter Theme”. As a bonus L.A-based Producer Dday One re-sows the seed of the “Garden Child”.
