Last copy! No. 126 of 207 limited yellow vinyl!
Don't expect nothing but overtly friendliness from this record, titled "thanks, but no thanks" by Zurich based trio The Rabbit Theory, because that's not what it is about. it's about putting things like the omnipresent maximising of profits, over-the-top positivism, and the latest in surveillance craze back on the map. musically wrapped in both instrumental tracks and songs with engaged shouting these and more problems are addressed in a fitting way: with complex structures, surprising breaks and outbursts of aggression.
"thanks, but no thanks" was mixed by Jeremy Romagna (Life At These Speeds, All Girl Summer Fun Band) in Portland, Oregon's own Type Foundry Studios. Chris Flanagan (Life At These Speeds) put hands on the mastering process to get the je ne sais quoi music like this needs.
"thanks, but no thanks" is released handnumbered in a pressing of 200 yellow LPs and 200 CDs that come in a nice, handscreened cardboard cover. |
