The Locke Saints Band out of Watts, California created Deep Jazz mixed with Soul & Heavy Funk. Similar to The Kashmere Stage Band albums, young talent is highlighted under direction of veteran producer Reggie Andrews.
The 1978-79 Locke Saints album is considered the holy grail of School-Funk albums, the original pressing fetching upwards of $1000 on auction.
