After setting "The Standard" in 2009 with their their critically acclaimed debut album , this fall JR&PH7 are returning with their new full length effort, entiteld "The Update" to be released on vinyl on Jakarta Records.
Once again the two producers from Cologne, Germany have digged deep in their crates to deliver their unique and powerful sampled-based sound that's sure to grab your attention within seconds. If it's hard drums or thick basslines, JR&PH7 got what you are looking for. Therefore it's not a surprise that the two mid twenties managed to put together
an impressive cast of guest artists on this album. Features include some of todays brightest underground hiphop artists such as Evidence (Dilated Peoples), Elzhi (Slum Village), Sean Price, Edo G, Rasco, Oddisee and Termanology. In addition, the obvious chemistry between the vocalists and the producers as well as the numerous guest musicians make the sound of this album far more musically cohesive than your average compilation album.
