"Infected" is a double 12" featuring vocals by Hitomi and Roots Manuva + remixes by Autechre and Scratcha DVA. It's a bridge between the acclaimed London Zoo album and The Bug's forthcoming dub battle with legendary producer Adrian Sherwood. Having emerged with notable critical acclaim for last year's King Midas Sound album Waiting For You, Kevin Martin reunites with King Midas Sound vocalist Hitomi for the lead track Catch A Fire and reworks Skeng into a harrowingly sick protest song recalling 80's pop-realist classic Ghost Town by The Specials. Catch A Fire features Justin Broadrick (Jesu/Pale Sketcher, and ex Godflesh) albeit fleetingly, with an ear catching guitar drop in the centre of the tune. This is their first work together since the infamous Techno Animal albums they worked on together...
