Berlin Techno City? True! ...But PROFIT is battling against the odds to push a new Berlin flavour by hooking up with some original soldiers of Reggae/Bashment culture. With their debut EP which carries cutting-edge beats combined with a powerful calibre of vocalists including London Soundboy/Jungle Legend MC Navigator, Warrior Queen and living legend Lee Scratch Perry, PROFIT are ready to blast this new sound into orbit.
The EP kicks off with ?The Upsetter? himself Lee Scratch Perry who teams up with Warrior Queen on ?Two Edged Sword?. This song combines haunting Reggae and Dub elements with a Dubstep flavor on top of a massive downtempo beat. Then Warrior
Queen makes her separate appearance on ?More & More?. This one is a deep electro piece spotlighting a high noon tremolo guitar -riff which gives you goozebumps all over! MC Navigator, who together with the Freestylers gave us classic hits such as Ruffneck & Warning, adds his unmistakable character to song number three - ?Whine Gyal?. Navigators energetic performance, a heavy hitting upright bass lick and a 80?s like synth chords make the right recipe to surely smash any dance.
This mesmerizing debut EP is topped off with ?Can't Get We Under? featuring Germany's Reggae and Dancehall darling Dr. Ring Ding. Over this riddim Dr. Ring Ding once again shows his outstanding sense for classic singjay-style. These four tracks come as a picture disc vinyl, running on DJ friendly 45 RPM or as digital release.
