DWG says: Back in 2010 DWG dropped what was, at that point at least, our most ambitious project to date. Featuring three previously unreleased
cuts from Bostonʼs legendary T.D.S. Mob as well as a reissue of their four previously released tracks and a CD/DVD set containing various
segments of video footage and imagery from the ʼ88-ʼ89 era. Whilst working on that project we unearthed the acapella tracks for pretty
much all the tracks T.D.S. Mob had recorded and decided to invite entries for a remix competition.
In the end we received a total of eight entries to the competition and in all honesty we didnʼt have the heart to leave anyone out (despite
initially envisaging a four track EP). There was also the difficult matter of choosing between the entries and the three of us all had different
preferences in that respect. So weʼre proud to present to you all eight entries to the competition featuring a multitude of different takes on
these T.D.S. Mob classics from Ultimate Breaks influenced straight up B-Boy jams to ?jazzy little rhythms? and everything in between.
Thereʼs something here for everyone and DJ Formatʼs remix of ʻBounceʼ is something to be admired and without a doubt one of the finest
tracks to come out on the DWG label, enjoy! |
