The success of our first release with Emskee last year was the start of a firm friendship – and with great pleasure, we're proud to be bringing Em's and his partner Saint's new Good People EP to the turntables for everyone.
The Good People (Emskee & Saint) have been boiling away on the underground in NYC for many years, with an extensive back catalogue of amazing tracks under their belts. When they sent us previews of these tracks earlier this year, we just knew that we had to help bring them onto vinyl. These tracks will feature on their forthcoming CD album, 'Gone For Good', but we've chosen seven of our favourites – and added the exclusive and extremely dope 'Very M.A.D.' to make this even more essential. We've got 350 copies available in total, with the first 150 on yellow vinyl.
The second slab is the 'Complex Extras E.P.', featuring 8 previously unheard and unreleased Emskee tracks fresh from the man's personal vaults! Anyone who liked the original 'Complex Engineer E.P.' will definitely want this, as will all fans of that mid '90s boom-bap sound. There are 175 copies of this one (on black vinyl), exclusively available through DWG direct.
The finished vinyl is already here – packaging materials and a couple of other bits are due to arrive late next week, so shipping will commence during the week of 20th August. Any email questions will be addressed after this week, as Dave is out of action until the weekend. |
