Lady is the name for the duo of Nicole Wray and Terri Walker, the newest act signed to Truth & Soul. Both Terri and Nicole have had fruitful careers as solo artists, but as a group, they bring something to the table that has been missing from contemporary music for quite some time. The honesty, the aching sweetness, the raw power of these singers and their songs will remind you that nothing can move you as much or touch you as deeply as two women with amazing voices singing in tight harmony. Their lead single, "Money" is, quite simply, a story of a self-made women with a deadbeat boyfriend -- a modern anthem for modern women. The "stutter-step" drums and punchy horns drive the song while Lady’s lush vocal harmonies shine over piano and a sweeping organ. The b-side is the instrumental version. It's a three and a half minute dance oor killer -- the perfect introduction to Lady's unmistakable sound.
