Great reissue of this early 80s boogie classic from Sandy Kerr. With production duties undertaken by Sandy's father, prolific soul writer/producer George Kerr alongside Sugarhill hip-hop/electro artist Reggie Griffin, and engineered by Bob Blank, this is a superb chugging uptempo boogie/rap cut based on a sample from UK band I-Level's club hit 'Give Me' which came out the same year. As well as filling floors across the US it was a big underground favourite in the UK for DJs such as Greg Wilson. Released on small South Carolina label Catawba, this 12" features the killer in-demand dub 'Chimental' version on the flip as well as Sandy's smooth rapping A-side. Don't miss! |
