Sam Carty’s ‘Bird In The Hand’ is a cover of the Hindi love song "Milte Hi Ankhen Dil Hua Diana” translated "As Soon As Our Eyes Met, Our Hearts Went Mad”. Featured in the classic movie ‘Babul’ from 1950 and produced/composed by the musical talents of Naushad Ali. Here Sam Carty delivers his Hindi style all mixed in mystical Black Ark fashion as you would expect from The Upsetter. This is the first time time this full vocal version has been released (Lee Perry's classic Return Of The Super Ape LP includes alternate dub version) - a totally unheard cut of this classic!It's followed with a cool dub (also unreleased).
On the flip “Upsetting Rhythm 2” is another raw Ark rhythm workout using that signature Perry drumbox we know and love. Really killer instrumental that shakes our shop..
