Kanye West started his career as a protege of producer No ID. He released his first beats on Grav's album "down to earth" in 1996 (this is awesome mid nineties hiphop album). Did some beats for Jay-Z and now you can already call him a star. Kanye might not be the most talented rapper but the way he talks about oddities and life the way he sees it is definitvely fresh and cheers you up. A talented man in 2004's HipHop Biz and his debut LP is already one of the best LP's of the year. Recommended
