The Herbaliser drop new shit every couple of years or so, sometimes completely dope and wicked ala 'Very Mercenary' which I hope the forthcoming album 'Take London' delivers and from which 'Generals' is the initial lift. Bringing a whole heap of unknown emcee talent to the base is serious business (well unknown cept from Jean Grae who brought all this talent together, introducing Trap Clappa, Cheech Marina, Daddy Mills, A.K. and Macguyver), the way the rhymes flow over Ollie and Jake's killer grooves will flip your wig. Strings bounce, basslines throb, horns blast and the drums rock. Pretty much you'd hope for in fact. |
