Following a handful of sought after Afro-beat blends booties, Kajmere Sound present the first original recording from Afrodisiac Soundsystem. Based around an ultra-rare break that studio-wizard and ASS co-founder Jed unearthed while record digging in West Africa, "Revolution" is a fusion of hip-hop, broken beats and African rhythms that offers a fresh take on the classic disco-rap style. With it's futuristic, slip-sloppin' beat and uplifting chorus, it's a sure shot dancefloor slammer that fits neatly into Raw Fusion's 'Bass-Ment' wonky-hop style. As does the sub wobbling "It's So Nice" on the flip. Both feature the emceeing of Raashan Ahmad from Oakland-based rap group the Crown City Rockers, or there's instrumental cuts too. Essential!
